WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. Each week, you answer three questions:
What are you reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m still listening and loving Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly. Isabelle is such a wonderful character. She’s smart and brave and, after being disgraced, humble and kind. I love her quest to find the missing pieces of her heart, and I love how she’s kind of a badass too.
I’m still enjoying Treacherous is the Night by Anna Lee Huber. I was actually able to read three chapters yesterday despite being exhausted from an invasive medical procedure and anesthesia in the morning. I… just hope I remember what I read.
I also got my new copy of The Mistress of Nothing by Kate Pullinger, which does not randomly turn into Oscar Wilde and the Vampire Murders near the end. I’m excited to finish this book!
Nothing. I have just finished nothing. Well, technically I finished Whoever You Are by Mem Fox as a read-aloud today. It was a beautiful book about how, despite our differences, we’re so much the same. When I finished it, one of my students smiled and said, “That was a good book.” I certainly made me feel good.
I plan to read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern next, followed by The Alienist by Caleb Carr and The Butchering Art by Lindsey Fitzharris. I’m also going to read stories from and ARC entitled An Anthology of Works Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by a variety of authors.
That’s a lot! But, I have Monday off which means I’ll have time to read and hopefully get back into my groove.
What are you reading this week? Anything you’re excited about starting? Drop a link below and let me know!
