WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. Each week, you answer three questions:
What are you reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I am currently listening to Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly, which is about Cinderella’s stepsisters after Cinderella has her happily ever after and they don’t. It’s really enjoyable. Isabelle, the main character, is complex and strong and interesting. Her sister, Octavia, is too, but she’s not the focus. I like that they have more depth than just being mean and selfish. The author does a good job of making them sympathetic without excusing their behavior.
I’m also reading Treacherous is the Night by Anna Lee Huber. I really like the book and Verity continues to be awesome. She was a spy during World War I and is having trouble readjusting to civilian life. She’s also having trouble readjusting to her marriage with her declared dead and now returned husband. There’s a mystery involving her spying days and a medium and it’s all very interesting.
I just finished Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. She once again lays out why vulnerability is so vital to Wholehearted living and how we can “dare greatly” to find our true selves.
Oh, I don’t know. Hopefully Mistress of Nothing, since ThriftBooks is sending me another copy. After that, I think I’ll try Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
Also, I am tired and con’t concentrate on books for longer than ten minutes or so. It’s really cramping my style.
What are you looking forward to reading next?
