Sunday Post: May 5

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, and showcase books and things you’ve received. The rules are here: The Sunday Post.

Just another ordinary week here at Casa de Books on the Brain. I tried to get back to my routine where I get up at 4:30, go to the gym, and then head to work, but it just wasn’t happening. No matter how much sleep I got, I woke up utterly exhausted and depressed and couldn’t get out of bed for the gym. I compensated by going after work, so I got my workouts in, but man. I was in such a good routine all year, and then February hit and it all fell apart. I think part of it is I’m bored of the workout routines I’ve been doing. I’m going to try and mix it up a little and, if that doesn’t work, maybe purchase another round of personal training to see if that will motivate me. But, I guess as long as I’m going, it doesn’t matter if I do it in the morning or evening.

I also didn’t get as much reading done as I wanted to. I was enjoying An American Duchess by Caroline Fyffe for the most part, but not enough to read a whole lot each night. I finished it last night, but it took me way longer than it should have.

  1. I always think I’ll get up early to exercise, but THAT never happens. I usually end up doing it later in the day, I’m just not a morning person. 🙂

Hope you have a good week!

    1. For the longest time, I made myself get up because I have a million and one excuses not to go if I’m working out at the end of the day. But right now, I just can’t do it, so I’m forcing myself not to give into my excuses. I’m more of a morning person than not; ideally, I’d work out around nine or ten.

      Have a great week!
